1st4 Recycled Computers has been established to specialise in recycling quality computers to produce profit for charity and the environmental benefit of less landfill.

We are a partnership enterprise between Apograph Data Systems Ltd, Oxfam and 4site Webs.

Apograph Data Systems Ltd have been a long established company for some 12 years, providing low cost quality Computer Systems for the general public and1st4 Recycled Computers businesses alike. Each Computer System is worked on individually by highly experienced technical staff to completion and nothing is released from our workshop until it has passed stringent quality tests.

Our aim is to only use high end quality used parts and add new components where necessary. This gives the Customer the look and feel of a new computer with performance to match and a price which is lower than many of our competitors. Our packages will suit every customer and their requirements because our motto is not to over sell, just provide what is necessary and include the option for future upgrades.

The full profits from each machine sold provides a donation to Oxfam providing assistance with the relief of poverty and suffering worldwide, a registered charity we believe in. The amount varies depending on the computer package and is between 10% - 50% of the total cost.
You can click on the Oxfam's Donation displayed with each computer package to find out the donation that Oxfam will receive from the sale of that computer package.

Oxfam (Registered Charity No 202918) has been involved in the refurbishment of donated computers since 2003. Working with Apograph Data Systems, computers donated by companies have been refurbished and supplied to Oxfam shops to enable low-cost IT entry, providing shops with email and Internet facilities together with a range of other software programs. To date over 200 shops have been provided with quality computers and laptops, thus enhancing Oxfam communications abilities cost-effectively.

Through its computer refurbishment scheme, Oxfam has also provided a range of computers to organisations in the countries within which it works overseas, most notably Afghanistan, and has also been able to supply affordable computer packages to other charitable organisations working within the UK.

Several years ago Oxfam piloted the sale of computers refurbished by Apograph Data Systems through a number of its shops. The success of this pilot has resulted in an extension of the computer retail activity through this specialist web site.

Since starting to work on this project, Oxfam has raised around £30K from computer sales. Remember only £36 provides a kit for a mobile teacher in Kenya. In the poorest parts of the world teachers often have to make do without useful equipment and by providing them with teaching packs, guides and training they can continue their amazing work.

4site Webs has been fundamental in making this quality product and service available to you, by developing this fully functional e-commerce website. Another long established company who has been in the internet business for over five years.
